About

Called to the Ontario Bar in 1964, Gerry started his own firm in 1982.  He was appointed as Queen’s Counsel due to his expertise and professionalism.  His practice has focused primarily on bodily injury and insurance.

Gerry has served the law community as a bencher of The Law Society of Upper Canada since 1995.  Gerry has been very involved with his community, having been a board member and past director of a number of organizations, including the SPCA, the Hamilton Jewish Foundation and the YMCA.

Gerry has been voted by his peers in The Best Lawyers in Canada in insurance law, personal injury litigation and product liability law, since 2011.

Although no longer involved in the day-to-day practice of law, Gerry is available to the lawyers of Crannie Law to provide advice and mentorship, which is an invaluable resource for the firm’s clients.
