About

Allison is an experienced insurance defence lawyer, having practiced solely in this area of law since 2003.  Prior to starting up Crannie Law in 2020, Allison worked as insurance defence counsel in both private law firms and as in-house counsel for large global insurance companies.  Allison currently heads the insurance defence group at Crannie Law, representing both small and large insurers, as well as private defence clients.  She has defended numerous clients involved in various types of accidents, medical negligence cases, subrogation cases, as well as insurance claims including dog bites, fire and flood claims to name a few.  

Allison also assists with personal injury cases and her experience has given her valuable insight and understanding in dealing with insurance companies on these matters. 

Allison has been recognized for her community involvement, having been a Director for many Boards, with experience drafting policy for non-profit organizations.  Crannie Law is a proud sponsor of the Hamilton Brain Injury Association.
